Your family will have acres to explore, hike, and play. Your dog will be in heaven if you bring him/her along! The Cabin: With only 400 square feet, it's best for a couple or single family, but sleeps up to 8. There are queen mattresses in the master bedroom, upstairs loft, and a queen pullout couch. There are also two built-in twin bunk beds. Upgraded kitchen with granite, stainless appliances, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Full bathroom with shower/tub. Large screened porch with a ceiling fan and room to relax, as well. We recently added a huge covered porch for added enjoyment outdoors. The Property: Coldwater Point Cabin is situated towards the back of a very private 26 acre lot surrounded on three sides by Lake Russell with over 4000 feet of lake frontage. There are several walking trails throughout the property along with a fire ring for campfires and s’mores. We provide various items; canoe, paddleboards, and kayaks for our guest to use during their stay. Make sure you bring a fishing pole for the crappie, bass, catfish, and bream in the coves. At night, take a stroll the field at the top of the hill for some great star gazing while listening to the coyotes, owls, and whippoorwills in the distance. We are often asked about the walk from our cabin to the lake. It’s about a 20 minute drive to Elberton, GA where you'll find restaurants, grocery stores, and other things to do. Athens, GA is around 45 minutes and worth a visit if you need to fill your time on a rainy day. Our cabin is remote! Cell phone service is non-existent to spotty, at best, and we do not provide a phone or internet. Plan to be "disconnected" during your stay and enjoy the peace and quiet! We recently had a family visit who told us their son was so proud of his first catch ever - a five pound catfish! The Cottage is full of memories from guests playing on the lake, building fires, and running outdoors with the big grassy yard and plenty of yard games. Enjoy the horseshoe pit, ladderball, cornhole, and giant Jenga. We also have two red single-person kayaks (the photo shows just one, but we've recently purchased a second kayak). After a day on the water, relax in the open concept living room and kitchen with a wall full of windows showcasing expansive lake views. Cozy up in our comfy couches in the living room with cable tv, a replica Atari video game, or a family board game. With a dining table and a humble kitchen you won't have to leave, but downtown Hartwell is a 5 minute drive away and offers wonderful restaurants with a nostalgic "Main Street" feel. Here you'll find a mix of antique shops, great local cooking, and seasonal events in the downtown square. A large grocery store, Ingles, is less than 5 minutes away. Some of our guests stop by this Ingles on the way in, and enjoy staying at the cottage the entire trip without having to venture out and break up the relaxation time. The master bedroom offers a plush queen bed with an amazing lake view and a wood-burning fireplace. In the morning brew a pot of coffee and enjoy it in bed as you watch the stunning sunrise over the lake. There are blackout curtains on the windows if you prefer to sleep in and maybe even start a morning fire in the fireplace. Some mornings we enjoy opening the French doors off the master bedroom and eating breakfast at the picnic table on the front porch, quietly enjoying the view. The guest room also has french doors with a lake view and blackout curtains and has a full size bed. The remaining bedroom offers two twin sized beds with soft Pottery Barn bedding. We also have a garage bunkhouse that is only available to guests renting the cottage. If you're interested in renting the bunk house for an additional $300 per stay (this fee covers the air conditioning and another housekeeper), we'll give you a separate code for the door. It features four twin sized beds, one full sized futon, and an en suite bathroom with stand up shower. You'll also have your own Keurig coffee maker in the garage apartment (just bring your own k-cups). The view from the expansive lakeside window is amazing!! Please keep in mind that this room is above the garage, and the steps are quite steep. The steps would not be suitable for toddlers or those with any difficulty walking. Just let us know if you'd like to rent the bunkhouse and we'll send you an additional payment request for the $300 fee. Clemson is about 45 minutes by car or by boat. Athens and Greenville are about an hour away. We are the perfect spot for a Clemson or UGA football game or other event! Historic Downtown Hartwell is a gem of a town. We have lots of great locally owned restaurants and shopping on the square. Cateechee Golf Club, one of the premier golf courses in Georgia, and Waterfall Grill are about 20 minutes away for your golfing and dinning experiences.

Welcome to our 1951 vintage Richardson Camper, “The Don Draper”. The Don is the perfect romantic getaway! We are a 60 acre farm on Lake Hartwell with four rentals, The Cottage, The Cabin, The Loft and The Don Draper at Spotted Fawn Farm. Each of our houses are unique and private, with access to the dock, riding trails, use of our outdoor kitchen area and each has it’s own firepit and outdoor area. “The Don” sits nestled in shady pines but overlooks our big pasture. It’s an easy walk to the lake or woods trails. Guests are welcome to wander anywhere on the farm (except entering pastures containing animals) and visit with our wild assortment of rescue animals. Visitors are welcome to bring their horses or boats, but please give us a heads up so we know we have space during your stay. Everyone is encouraged to bring leftovers to feed the animals. If you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy a serene and quiet retreat, our home is perfect. Pet friendly! We do welcome pets with a flat fee of $25 per pet/per stay. Three dog limit. One-week minimum over July 4th Quiet cove, wooded lot, great lakefront location. Most of the other homes in our cove are second homes so oftentimes you have the cove to yourself! Our cabin is located on beautiful Lake Hartwell, on almost 60 acres. We are a rescue farm of about 50 animals ranging from horses, calves, sheep, emu, giant tortoise, lots of dogs and chickens and two mini-donkeys. We welcome traveling horses and we also have a dock for you to bring your boat. We have long trails for walking or horseback riding, seclusion for those who want to get away from it all and plenty to do for families. We host lots of weddings and, in addition to this cabin, have a three bedroom house with two kings, one queen and one full-sized bed, our popular “Don” restored 50’s camper (super nice) and our loft, which we rent privately. We love dogs on a leash and have visiting dogs most weeks, but dogs left alone in the cabin must be in a crate. ?? Beautiful 60 acre horse farm on Lake Hartwell. A gorgeous destination for weddings and events, we have two homes available for rent, along with stall and pasture availability for those traveling with horses. One cottage is a three bedroom with two king-sized beds, one queen-sized bed and one full-sized. We also have a one bedroom cabin that sleeps four, with a full-sized bed plus a two person futon. To access the smaller cabin, please look at our other listing, Spotted Fawn Farm/Cabin, The Don, or Lake House. Our farm is located on the boarder of Georgia and South Carolina, about 10 minutes off I-85. We have four cottages that are professionally decorated, are pet friendly to WELL BEHAVED LEASHED DOGS, and are also accessible by boat. (Please note that dogs left alone in the house must be in a crate!) Our places are spread out over the farm and are all very different, just like our guests. There is a lower driveway that makes taking coolers and kayaks to the dock easier. Our farm has long winding trails, babbling creeks, sunny pastures with exotic animals and loads of horses. There is a shared boat dock for sunning or docking and cocktail hour always starts at 4:00! We frequently host weddings and events and special packages can be arranged. We love families and it is the perfect place to get away from technology and enjoy nature. (Although we have added WiFi for work getaways.) We are available and set up for weddings. A must see with 100 restaurants downtown, world class museums and waterfalls a short drive away. A must see! Only an hour to an hour and a half to UGA or Clemson University by car. You can also go to Clemson University by boat from here. It's only 60 miles to Helen, GA where you can raft the Chatahoochee (world class white water rafting on the Chatahoochee) , ride a zip line or enjoy Octoberfest in Helen. Tallulah Gorge is only 50 miles away where you can pan for gold, hike and ride bikes. There are 3 waterfalls you can visit at Brasstown Falls. WE HAVE GREAT WATER! Twelve feet at the end of the dock and 25 feet deep in the middle of the cove. You can rent a boat at Gordon's Marina. We have a canoe and Kayak here for your use along with life jackets.
